Vegan Vilnius

Vilnius is a hidden gem for plant-based eats and the scene is seriously growing 🇱🇹🌱 Lithuania’s capital is one of Europe’s most charming and underrated cities, and its vegan restaurant scene has quietly become one of the most exciting in the Baltics. The combination of a beautiful old town, young and creative local chefs, and a growing plant-based movement has produced some genuinely outstanding restaurants.

Most of the best vegan spots are clustered in and around the Old Town and the Naujamiestis neighbourhood. Here’s my guide to the best vegan and plant-based restaurants in Vilnius.

Best Vegan Restaurants in Vilnius

1. Rosehip Vegan — The Best Tofu Burgers & Buddha Bowls in Town

Rosehip Vegan is Vilnius’s most vibrant fully vegan bistro — a pink-decorated, energy-filled space that serves some of the best plant-based burgers and Buddha bowls in the entire Baltic region. The tofu burger has become something of a legend among the city’s vegan community, and the bowls are consistently fresh, generous, and beautifully balanced. The atmosphere is warm, colourful, and welcoming, and the Instagram feed will give you an excellent idea of what to expect.

Tips for Vegan Travellers in Vilnius

Vilnius is a compact and very walkable city, and the vegan scene is spread across the Old Town and the newer neighbourhoods. Sweet Love Caffé and Kiras are both in the Old Town — perfect for a mid-morning coffee and cake during sightseeing. Rosehip Vegan and The Urban Garden are both excellent lunch options. For an evening with atmosphere, Čvi Parkas with its live music is hard to beat in summer. And Dārzo Dubuo is worth the short walk for a cosy, unhurried breakfast.
