Vegan Ubud

Ubud is a plant-based paradise and these spots prove it ๐ŸŒบ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฉ From raw food magic surrounded by jungle to farm-to-table goodness in the rice fields, Bali’s spiritual heart has one of the world’s most inspiring vegan food scenes. Ubud has attracted a global community of health-conscious travellers, yogis, and plant-based food lovers, and the result is a concentration of extraordinary vegan restaurants that is genuinely hard to match anywhere else in the world.

Most of Ubud’s best vegan restaurants are within a few kilometres of the city centre, though a scooter or transport is helpful for reaching some of the more scenic spots. Here’s my guide to the best.

Best Vegan Restaurants in Ubud

Plant Bistro on Jalan Raya Campuhan in the beautiful Blanco Museum area is one of Ubud’s most acclaimed plant-based restaurants โ€” a beautiful space serving plant-based comfort food, pastries, and ice cream from 8am until 10pm every day. The presentation is always stunning, the food is consistently delicious and satisfying, and the setting along the river near Campuhan Ridge makes it one of the most atmospheric dining experiences in Bali. A non-negotiable Ubud stop.

Tips for Vegan Travellers in Ubud

Ubud is a small but very spread-out town, and most of the best vegan restaurants are a short scooter or car ride from the main street. Plant Bistro and Zest are both worth making a priority โ€” they’re among the best plant-based restaurants you’ll find anywhere in the world. Alchemy’s salad bar is genuinely non-negotiable. Moksa and Sage are both worth booking for a special dinner. And Warung Wulan Veg is a reminder of just how extraordinary Indonesian home cooking can be when it’s done with plants.
