Vegan Malmo

Just across the bridge from Copenhagen, Malmö is a total vegan paradise — affordable, creative, and full of flavour 🇸🇪 Sweden’s third-largest city has quietly developed one of the most exciting plant-based restaurant scenes in Scandinavia, and what makes it particularly special is the combination of high quality and very reasonable prices. It’s genuinely one of the best value vegan cities in Europe.

Malmö is a compact and easily walkable city, with most vegan spots concentrated in the Möllevångstorget and city centre areas. Here’s my guide to the best.

Tips for Vegan Travellers in Malmo

Malmö is a small, flat, and very bikeable city — the perfect place to eat your way across the vegan scene in a single day. Rau requires a booking and is the most special dinner option. Bageri Leve is the essential morning stop. Jord is brilliant for a long, leisurely brunch. Hummusson and Manto are both excellent quick lunches.
